We provide resources and education to engage
citizens in building more beautiful communities.
Green Teens engages middle and high school students in weekly activities to explore the outdoors, learn the truth about trash, and discover what's in our water. Activities are complimented with service projects. Students take action in their communities to mark storm drains, recycle, beautify their campuses, and restore creek and nature preserves while earning community service hours. As a Green Teen you can become eligible for a paid summer internship to mentor younger youth.
  • Youth - see schedule above to join sessions taking place on your campus
  • Teachers - contact the Keep Austin Beautiful education team via email or at 512.391.0617 x701 to bring Green Teens to your campus
Since Green Teens was launched in 2005, the program has become one of Keep Austin Beautiful's signature educational programs expanding from three to six participating schools and increasing the number of attending youth from 42 to 275 annually!

Green Teens is implemented in partnership with Boys and Girls Club and ACE - Austin.
