Kick off Earth Day with Plastic Recycling at Your School!

"Students for Recycling is a plastic bottle (PET) recycling contest that closes the loop on recycling by turning plastic bottles into backpacks for children across the country. Schools are invited to join KAB, Keep America Beautiful, Aquafina, and SAM's CLUB in the goal of removing 45 million plastic bottles from the environment with this contest.

Top Two Schools to WIN $100!

The LOCAL Challenge is easy, starting Earth Day...

• promote recycling at your campus
• collect plastic bottles (PET 1 or 2) from your campus
• track the number of bags collected
• recycle the plastic at Ecology Action (707 E. 9th Street) or through your neighborhood curbside recycling
• click here to download and submit a tally sheet to KAB by May 24th (mail form to:  55 North IH-35, Suite 215, Austin, TX 78702; fax to: 512.391.0624; or email (email preferred))

Bring Recycling into the Classroom

KAB leads hands-on activities on litter, recycling, and landfills. KAB also provides cardboard recycling bins and ongoing support to assist schools in the initiation and completion of a campus recycling project.
