Your School Can Be A Clean Creek Campus  
Would you like to foster student stewardship of our natural resources while using hands-on, multidisciplinary activities that meet state education standards? If so, Clean Creek Campus is the program for you. It's simple... participate in at least two lessons and complete a service project!
 
(Now Scheduling for the 2011-2012 school-year. Available for upper elementary, middle and high schools.)
 
What You Can Do!
Involve your students in a service-learning project.
  • Install a native habitat or garden
  • Beautify/Restore a creek bank
  • Conduct a campus or creek cleanup
  • Mark storm drains to prevent pollution in our creeks
  • Build a composting system
  • Launch a campus recycling campaign

What We Offer
When your school becomes a Clean Creek Campus you will receive these benefits. 
  • KAB and WPD guidance in the planning and implementation of a stewardship project.
  • Classroom activities led by KAB and WPD.
  • Project supplies including: gardening materials and tools, cleanup supplies, recycling bins, and storm drain marking kits.
  • A Clean Creek Campus banner that recognizes your school’s participation
  • Campus Resources 
  • A Clean Creek Campus banner that recognizes your school’s participation
  • Transportation for creek and park restoration projects. Limited availability for schools with grade level participation and a commitment to 4 presentations.
Clean Creek Campus Rafting Fieldtrip!
Clean Creek Campus sites are also invited to attend an end of the semester rafting trip on Lady Bird Lake. The fieldtrip is in partnership with LCRA to reward students for their commitment to service. Thank you LCRA for offering this valuable study trip!
 
Extend the learning with a fieldtrip to the Redbud Center and learn all about the water cycle, watersheds, geology and water quality led by Colorado River Foundation.
