Clean Sweep 2010

WHAT IS CLEAN SWEEP?

Clean Sweep is KAB's annual citywide cleanup that takes place all over Austin.  The first 4,000 volunteers to register get a free event t-shirt and it’s followed by an awesome Volunteer Party and Environmental Fair at Waterloo Park which includes: free lunch, live music, kid’s environmental activities, recycled art, door prizes and more!  Last year more than 4,000 volunteers registered to cleanup 120+ sites!

WHEN

Saturday, April 10, 2010

  • Cleanup: 9:00AM – 11:00AM
  • Volunteer Party: 11:30AM – 1:30PM

WHERE

  • Cleanups: Volunteer to help one of many groups throughout Austin or hold a cleanup of your very own at your school, favorite park, on your street, in your neighborhood, at a local creek or other public space.
  • Volunteer Party: Waterloo Park, 403 East 15th Street (Click here for the inside scoop)

WHY

Join thousands of volunteers to beautify Austin and see how much can be accomplished when we work together. Then celebrate your accomplishments with other volunteers at the Clean Sweep Volunteer Party!  The party includes:

  • Live Music powered by Solar Trailer from Austin Energy
  • Free Lunch
  • Kid’s environmental activities and exhibits
  • Door Prizes
  • Unique Object Contest with prizes

HOW

  • General Volunteers: Click here to join an existing project that needs some extra helping hands. (We are working on a slight glitch with our registration database, and currently one part of the confirmation email says that Clean Sweep is on April 4th.  This year's Clean Sweep is Saturday, April 10th, 2010).
