Cultivating Leaders is KAB's adult education program. Our hope is to provide training, resource pages, and field trips to create educated citizens that can serve as environmental leaders in the community.

 

The Cultivating Leaders Field Trip Series was started in 2011 to provide KAB’s volunteers in-the-field information on topics they are passionate about.  For example, instead of viewing a powerpoint with recycling statistics scrolling down the page, volunteers don hard hats to tour a Material Recovery Facility and watch thousands of plastic bottles get compressed into a bale weighing 600-2,000 pounds.

 

Become a KAB Project Leader! KAB leads FREE Volunteer Project Leader Trainings for you to build the confidence, knowledge and skills necessary to lead an effective cleanup, school garden workday, or to lead education activities. The 3-hour workshops include a 2-hour session on effective project management and a 1-hour breakout session specializing on a KAB focus area of your choice: clean, beautify, and educate. All participants are required to lead 2 projects within 6 months of the course. More dates coming soon.
