 The weather has been great for working outside and this workday will have a little something for everyone.  Even if you can’t make it out for the full 4 hours, any time you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Projects include: clean entry signs, clear deadwood and overgrowth near front entrance, removal of small Ligustrum saplings (with a weed wrench) near picnic tables, installation of new Mutt Mitt station along north nature trail, and remove giant cane root.   As always, Friends of Red Bud workdays are kid and dog friendly events.    Date: 1/20/08 Time:  9am to 1:00pm Location:  Red Bud Isle, 3401 Red Bud Trail Unit Cr. Brodie Wild Workday01/20/08 Come help keep Brodie looking wild, natural, and clean too!  Volunteers will be doing some clean up trash and brush clearing to restore the native savanna and help the native grasses and flowers. The grass is tall and lush and there aren't many trails, so wear long pants and sturdy shoes. There is a seasonal creek area, so rubber boots are not a bad idea.Bring your own work gloves and tools like loppers and pruners. Trash bags, drinks, and snacks will be provided. Close to 250 trees need to be planted.  Onion Creek tract in central Hays county between Buda and Driftwood on FM 967.
