 Zilker Preserve Restoration9/05/09 EcoTexas is hosting upcoming workdays at the Zilker Preserve removing various invasive species, including Nandina, Japanese Privet, and Chinaberry among other species.  KAB Tool Shack program needs your help!9/05/09 Keep Austin Beautiful is hosting a workday to label and organize all the old and new tools lent out through its Tool Shack program.  Tools will be hand labeled with stencil and paint (fun for you artist types!).  Gloves and supplies will be provided.  Come on out for a great morning of organizing tools!     Dates:  Saturday, September 5th Time:  9:00am-11:00amMeeting Spot: We will meet in the parking lot of the KAB offices located at 55 North IH-35, outside the Extend-a-Care buildingRegister: Ixchel, community@keepaustinbeautiful.org

 North Loop Neighborhood Green08/08/2009  Bruning Green is a neighbor-maintained green space that was established in 2001 and has been developed into a beautiful little public space with a butterfly bed, path, stone seating walls, and bench. It is very precious to the neighborhood and needs regular maintenance to keep it in top condition.  Volunteers are needed to help mulch the trees to prevent ground compaction and help retain water.    Date: Saturday, August 8th    Time:  9am-10am Location:  Bruning Green @ 52nd, Evans, and Bruning Avenue (N.
