Mt. Bonnell Clean-Up2/27/2010 Calling all climbers!  If you missed all the fun we had cleaning the cliff by the 360 bridge, you have another chance to rap off a cliff not usually open to climbers. On Feb 27 Central Texas Mountaineers and Keep Austin Beautiful will be cleaning the trash below the lookout point on Mount Bonnell. Come combine your love of hanging from a rope with a good deed. Anyone experienced at setting natural anchors can come at 8:00am to set up and be the first on a rope. Everyone else, be there at 9:00am. If the clean up runs like the others, volunteers will be done by 11:00am, so get there early!  The meeting point is at the top of stairs at the overlook.Date: Sat. Feb. 27thTime: 9am – 1pmLocation: Mt. Bonnell City Park, 3800 Mt. Bonnell Dr.Austin, TX 78731Contact: Gary

During the dedication, prizes donated by community members will be awarded to first place winner, the Kealing Middle School Art Club, second place winner, professional artist Diego Fishburn, and third place winner, 6-year old resident Izabella Zapata. RHNA consists of approximately 75 residential members, many who assisted with the mural project. Robertson Hill is a historic Austin neighborhood in transition from blight to revitalization, and is increasingly becoming a site for public art that reflects the unique cultural heritage of Central East Austin. The creation of the No Vacancy Art Mural Project encourages a shared sense of community and gives Robertson Hill residents ownership in their neighborhood, instills a sense of community pride, and creates a positive, proactive atmosphere that will inspire our community to implement future beautification projects.   What: Mural Unveiling, Speeches by the neighborhood, KAB, City of Austin departments of Neighborhood Housing and Community Development & Arts in Public Places followed by a walking tour of the murals.  www.keepaustinbeautiful.org/nbg2009robertsonhillna  When:   Saturday, February 27, 2010               10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT Where:   909-911 Olive Street – 78702
