Mary Moore Searight Park Off-Leash Nature Trail Project8/7/10Austin Parks Foundation has provided a grant for ecological restoration in the north end of Mary Moore Searight Park. \; This project will include tree installation\, and seeding of native grasses and wildflowers in the open areas. \; Many decaying ash junipers have already been removed and mulched by a forestry mower. \; Volunteers will be needed to transplant seedlings of tree species from the adjacent forest that are not available from local nurseries. \;A very exciting addition to the project will be the installation of a solar powered irrigation system to get the new trees established. \;Date\: \; Saturday\, August 7\, 2010Time\: \; 9am-12pmLocation\: 907 Slaughter Ln.\, 78748.
