NBG 2006 HPWBANAHighland Park West Balcones Area Neighborhood Association (HPWBANA) 2006 Neighborhood Grant Recipient 1800 square feet of concrete median transformed into a green space! The Highland Park West Balcones Area Neighborhood Association (HPWBANA) completed their 5th median beautification project, one of their most ambitious yet. This effort was taken on by the residents near Highland Terrace & Perry Lane. Concrete jack-hammering, over 60 yards of soil, 24 yards of mulch, 30+ gallon plants and 100 degree temperatures are just a few of the challenges volunteers tackled to transform a concrete median into a colorful native landscape of grasses, lantana and sages.
