Bring Back Eilers Park

Help Bring Back Eilers Park! Supplies and tools for the following tasks have been acquired. 3 wheelbarrows will be provided, but another would be helpful. About 20 volunteers are needed to:
* Complete clearing of slope (20'X20' area)
* Install 20 native plants
* Move and spread mulch
* Chop down the arundo grass that is sprouting
* Complete removing nutsedge and Bermuda grass in the butterfly garden

Breakfast tacos from Maudie's, coffee from Texenza , Clifbars and a 5-gallon jug of iced water will be provided! Please bring your water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them.  Gloves will also be available. Wear sturdy shoes, and long pants.

Eilers Park is a 9-acre waterfront property that is a major trailhead for the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail with access for bikes and wheelchairs. It is home of Deep Eddy Pool and Deep Eddy Community Garden. "Bring Back Eilers Park" is a major effort to return the park to its historic spendor.
