KAB Habitat Project at Webb Middle School

1/14/12

Join more than 700 volunteers on Saturday, January 14 for Hands on Central Texas’ MLK Day of Service to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day of service.  Volunteers needed to install the hardscape of a habitat garden being built at Webb Middle School.

Projects will include installing leveling the existing area, installing a limestone brick border, hauling and laying crushed granite to create pathways through the habitat, planting 5 trees, and hauling soil to selected garden areas.

Keep Austin Beautiful's Clean Creek program will be working with teachers and students to install the rest of the habitat including mapping, planting and mulching the habitat. This project can accommodate 15 volunteers.
