MLK Day of Service 2009

Join hundreds of volunteers and spend a few hours volunteering and remembering just how true the words “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve” are. The MLK Day of Service volunteer projects and activities will help you understand how you can use Dr. King’s blueprint for civic and social activism to affect social change in your community.  Projects include painting benches for placement in public spaces, cleaning up streets and greenbelts, and sprucing up a community garden.  More information and registration’s available at: www.handsoncentraltexas.org/specialevents/viewSpecialEvent.php?_mode=eventDetail&_action=eventDetail&ixSpecialEvent=23
