Eastwoods Park – Invasive Plant Removal and Hands-On Workshop

05/02/2009

Eastwoods Park in central Austin is gearing up for its first pass of invasive plant removal.  Volunteers will be focus on the flat sections of the park to remove ligustrum and other invasive plants.  Ligustrum will be cut about knee height and moved to a brush pile.  This is in preparation for E-Corps coming in the following week to cut and treat stumps and chip the brush pile.   This is an Eastwoods Neighborhood Association supported and funded project.

Austin Parks Foundation will conduct an invasive plant removal workshop and answer questions from 9:00am-10:00am.  Eco Texas will be present to answer questions and offer assistance.  Wildlife Center Eradicators will also be helping.
