Workday with Uplift Austin and Garza Independence High School 2/27/2010 and 2/28/10 Uplift Austin has a CommUnity Volunteer Day coming up at Garza Independence High School. Please come help the students construct a deck - building, drilling, sawing, lifting - to improve their campus! This is a great project for those with basic construction skills. If you have work gloves, please bring them. Water and light snacks will be provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. All work is outside, please prepared to work outside in the elements - you might need fleece and gloves, raingear, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. Date: Sat. Feb. 27th AND Sun.
