Caraway Elementary Schoolyard Habitat Project

3/27/10

Caraway Elementary, near 183 and Oak Knoll (a little north of the Arboretum), is installing a new Outdoor Wildlife Lab, a butterfly-hummingbird garden.  Volunteers are welcome and will be doing a little digging to even out the path and prep the soil at the base of raised beds, but most of the work will involve easier tasks -- moving soil into the raised beds, spreading decomposed granite in the pathways, planting perennials and shrubs, watering, adding mulch, and then sitting back to admire a job well done! The stonework is already installed – now just wait for nature to do her work!

Date: Sat, March 27th

Time: 2pm-4pm

Location: Caraway Elementary, 11104 Oak View Drive, 78759
