Sow Seeds Along Onion Creek

3/27/2010

Spring has sprung and now is the time to get out and enjoy it! The Water Quality Protection Lands have several volunteer opportunities coming up in the next few weeks and they’re looking for some folks to help out! You can find many of these opportunities on the calendar of their website (http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/water/wildland/onlineregistration/ecowebevents.cfm ), in addition to guided hikes and lectures that may also interest you. Each of these events requires participants to carry about 10 pounds of grass seeds and/or a rake over rough terrain. Long pants and good walking shoes are required.  Seeds, buckets, rakes and all other equipment will be provided.
