Allan Elementary School
In its first year as a Clean Creek Campus Allan Elementary School has come over the top - 3rd graders have studied the dynamics of compost and are installing a compost bin, 4th graders are initiating a campus recycling campaign and 5th graders are focusing on litter and watersheds and plan to cleanup Boggy Creek.

Austin Discovery School
Environmental stewardship is the mantra of this school from gardening to composting and recycling they are active in taking care of the planet. As a Clean Creek Campus in the spring of 2007 they focused on learning about their watershed and then cleaned up the nearby creek.

Austin Montessori
This school has done it all - from cleaning up Barton Creek to water quality monitoring to green gardening and stormdrain marking.

Becker Elementary School
Becker 5th graders learned about their watershed during the 3-day Earth Camp and then protect it regularly through green gardening methods at the Green Classroom and completing a creek cleanup of West Bouldin.


Brooke Elementary School
Third graders at Brooke have 'adopted' their neighborhood by completing annual cleanups (2 years to date) and marking stormdrains in their neighborhood.

Dawson Elementary School

Dawson students dedicated an entire year to learning about their local watershed, Bouldin Creek. They used this knowledge to become leaders in their community making watershed presentations to the neighborhood association and at fairs. Tools in hand students also planted over 100 native plugs along Bouldin Creek to help restore the creek bed and prevent erosion.

Hillcrest Elementary School
For two years Hillcrest 2nd graders have studied Williamson Creek and collected trash along its banks. This year 5th graders have signed up to protect the creek and are planning on building native garden beds to help filter runoff to the creek.

McBee Elementary School
Second graders teamed up with community members to cleanup Little Walnut Creek.

Oak Hill Elementary School
A third grade class installed and maintains a native habitat and compost bin system.

Odyssey School
The first designated Clean Creek Campus has been completing monthly cleanups for three years!

Oakmont Private School
In the fall of 2006, 3rd and 4th graders partnered to explore and cleanup Shoal Creek.

Ojeda Middle School
Sixth graders at Ojeda have been learning about the properties of soil and compost and will be installing a compost station to accompany their new raised garden beds this fall.

Pickle Elementary School
During the 2005-2006 Pickle Elementary School 3rd graders helped to protect Buttermilk Creek by cleaning it up and marking stormdrains in the watershed.

Small Middle School
Sixth through eighth graders studied litter and completed a campus clean sweep; they are also active in maintaining over 24 native gardens at their campus.

Southwest Key
In its two years as a Clean Creek Campus, Southwest Key has cleaned up Bouldin Creek and their neighboring Boggy Creek.

Texas School for the Deaf
Texas School for the Deaf 3rd-5th grade students have been committed to studying their watershed, East Bouldin Creek and clean it up.

Travis Heights Elementary School

Second graders at Travis Heights prove no age is too young to take action. The 2nd graders at this school studied about the impact of litter and then cleaned up East Bouldin Creek twice collecting over 15 bags of trash.
 

Williams Elementary School
Over 160 4th and 5th graders ventured out to nearby South Boggy Creek to complete a scavenger hunt and collect all the trash within eyesight. The 4th graders have also initiated a campus recycling campaign.
