Clean Sweep
KAB's BIGGEST event, Clean Sweep, is a network of litter cleanups taking place all over Austin, followed by a volunteer thank-you party. Clean Sweep is part of the Great American Cleanup and The Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off and focuses on community creeks and waterways.

Adopt-a-Street
You've seen the cool signs around town, but what's it all about? The Adopt-a-Street program gives local groups the opportunity to take ownership over a public street in Austin.

Creek Cleanup
Are you tired of seeing your favorite creek littered with trash? In one day, would you like to make a huge impact on your local environment? If so, a creek cleanup might be just what you’re looking for!

Lake Travis Park Cleanup
Several hundred volunteers join forces to cleanup nine Travis County Parks surrounding Lake Travis after the busy Memorial weekend. The cleanup in the morning is followed by a volunteer thank-you party in the afternoon. This is a great event for ALL ages!

Recycling                                                                                                                                 Keep Austin Beautiful's free recycling bin lending program can make your next event environmentally friendly, with easy to use recycling containers. The clearly marked and light weight containers make recycling simple.  Check them out!

Tool Shack
Keep Austin Beautiful's Tool Lending Library, can supply you with gardening tools for a garden installation or maintenance project. Save the expense and check out our tools today!

Neighborhood Beautification Grants                                                                              Grants range from $500 - $2500 and support neighborhoods in their efforts to beautify and improve the community. Begin envisioning a project in your neighborhood to apply for our 2008 grants.

Educate

Clean Creek Campus
To promote service learning at schools, KAB in partnership with Watershed Protection Dept. provides schools with: classroom presentations, supplies to kick-start a project, guidance in completing a project, and a Clean Creek Campus banner.

School Recycling
Are you interested in initiating or expanding your campus recycling efforts? KAB leads classroom presentations, provides campus recycling bins, loans event recycling bins, hosts a recycling contest with cash prizes, and recognizes schools for their recycling efforts.

Green Teens
Green Teens is an after-school evironmental education program designed to engage middle and high school students in environmental stewardship.

Patch Pals
Designed for scouts, troops, after-schcool groups and other informal youth groups, KAB provides patches, activity books, activity kits and workshops to assists groups in earning an "I Keep Austin Beautiful" patch

KAB Awards
We like to think of the KAB Awards as the Oscars of Austin environmental stewardship! The KAB Awards recognize the most outstanding efforts in the community in eight different categories. Applications are due in June.

KAB Awards Luncheon
