KAB provides resources and education to inspire individuals &
the Austin community toward greater environmental stewardship

The Seed Savers program is a grassroots effort to connect native plant enthusiasts with public gardens that need a bit of color and diversity.  Volunteers save native seeds from their own gardens (at their homes, schools, parks, etc) and send them to Keep Austin Beautiful to distribute to public gardens that are just getting started.  The program only distributes and promotes native plants.  Native plants are adapted to Austin’s environment, provide valuable habitat resources, and showcase pride in Austin’s natural beauty.

CLICK HERE to request seeds.  Due to the large number of requests and other program responsibilities you must email in a form to get seeds.

Once your garden’s established, we’d love it if you could send us some native seeds from your garden so we can keep the loop of “Seed Savers” going and continue to spread native plants throughout Austin.
