KAB's Tool Lending Library

Tool Shack, KAB’s tool lending library, invites community groups to check out rakes, weed wrenches, shovels, pruners, wheelbarrows, and more to complete beautification, improvement and maintenance projects.  Save the expense and tap into our quality tools while saving time with our easy check out process.  Not sure what you need?  Click here to view our available tools. 

It’s easy

• Read our guidelines/agreement
• Fill out, save, and email the tool request form to Ladye.Anne@KeepAustinBeautiful.org
• We’ll confirm your reservation and pickup time (pickups & returns are Monday - Friday by appointment)
• Check out the tools from us at the pre-arranged time
• After your project return them to us at the pre-arranged time.

Results

KAB’s Tool Shack program was launched in late 2005.  Since then the number of volunteer groups benefiting from our tool lending program has grown from 8 in 2005, 41 in 2006, 64 in 2007, 105 in 2008, & 150+ in both 2009 & 2010!  Since the program’s lending began, over 200 beautification, improvement and maintenance projects have utilized the Tool Shack program to complete everything from invasive species removal, graffiti removal, installation of school gardens, and large scale cleanups.
