2010 LAKE TRAVIS UNDERWATER (& SHORELINE) CLEANUP

WHAT IS THE UNDERWATER CLEANUP?

The Lake Travis Underwater Cleanup is the BIGGEST scuba diving and shoreline cleanup in Texas. The event invites several hundred certified scuba divers and  shoreline volunteers to help round-up trash from the bottom of Lake Travis and the 9 Travis County Parks surrounding the lake. The cleanup is followed by a volunteer thank-you party & is a great event for ALL ages! RAIN OR SHINE!
 

2010 RESULTS
 

On Sunday, September 12, 2010:

• 765 Volunteers (254 divers, 440 shoreline, 71 party)

• 1.14 TONS of Trash Collected

• $29,850 worth of Volunteer Hours

• Most Unique Objects included: a grill with a jar of queso inside it
